With restrictions around lockdown being eased, the Country Walks group decided to venture to Davy Down, a new nature reserve near Lakeside. A few photos from the trip are included below:
The Country Walks group ventured to Wallasea Island on Friday 11th December, a beautiful clear morning and good company. Thank you to Dave and Jo for organising and bringing mince pies and Christmas cake for the shelter stop. Lovely morning.
The Country Walking Group visited the Village of Pleshey for a walk through the countryside surrounding the village and a walk through the Village itself.
Great Intriguing walk complied by Jo. We walked in three separate groups of 4 or 5 and had a lovely lunch still obeying the rules and able to enjoy one another’s company.
The group has restarted with a socially distanced walk:

The Vigorous Walking group set off on their first walk today around Rochford and the Roach Valley . We started off with very clear guidance from our leader Jo Phillips and all walked at a good pace around this circular walk. None of us had walked here before, it was peaceful walking alongside the River Roach and footpaths adjacent to fields of wheat and wild flowers that thrilled us all . After walking for an hour and a half we stopped for a drink at the Royal Oak and then went on our way for the remainder of our walk in the dry . When the walk ended it poured with rain!
